This Month in Counseling
The character word for October is Respect. Respect includes respect of self, others for authority, and property. Our lessons this month will center around respect and also include drug awareness and safety issues. In kindergarten the focus will be the difference between medicine and candy, gun safety and stranger danger. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade will develop their skills to make good choices in how they care for their body as they grow and develop. 4th graders will discuss the types of drugs and the 5th grade will focus on the effects of drugs.
